Excitement is mounting here at Principal Insurance Ireland as we prepare for next month’s Monster Motorcycle Show in Cork
This takes place on over the Sunday 25th February and, as ever, looks like it will be one of the most exciting and fun shows in the country.
It will be preceded on the Saturday night by a slideshow presentation and special guest appearances at Silver Springs by racing legends Glen Irwin and John McGuinness. Don’t forget your cameras and autograph books!
Hosted by the Cork Motorcycle Racing and Vintage Club, it’s a truly local affair
It’s a show that has grown over the last number of years and now hosts all the big brands. The exhibitors list reads like a who’s who of the Cork and, indeed, the Irish motorcycling industry.
Among exhibitors will be Kearys Motorrad who will be bringing the full BMW range to the Fota Junction Retail Park in Carrigtwohill. The show has moved to the bigger venue this year due to the demand for more space.
Hourigan Motorcycles will be there with a host of Yamaha machines, including the 2018 MT range, with the Tracers in all their sizes and derivatives on their stand.
Lee Honda will be exhibiting will all the range from the world’s biggest motorcycle brand, as will Rosso Ducati and Cork’s very own SBK Bikes.
Posh people from Kinsale will also have good reason to travel, since the Dean Motor Company will be bringing their full range of Herald motorcycles to the show. So too will Dublin Triumph who are set to show off their full collection of 2018 machines. Yes indeed, the bearded ones will have plenty to be happy about…!
No show in this part of the world would be complete without a Waterford Harley Davidson stand. The team from WHD will be bringing all the new HD machines. We have it on good authority that they will even be unveiling the new Sports Glide, as well as bringing the recently launched Softail range.
Local legend and international bike building superstar, Ger Conlon, from C&C Choppers Ireland, will be there with a number of his award-winning creations. These machines have to be seen to be believed. When you do, you’ll understand why Ger has such an excellent reputation on the global custom bike-building scene.
There will, of course, be a whole host of clothing suppliers as well as touring and travel experts, Celtic Horizon Tours, who will be answering questions on where to go this season. Also in attendance will be the team from Overlanders who seem to have a pretty hectic schedule on this year.
Naturally we’ll be there with members of Principal’s specialist motorcycle insurance team happy to have a chat and answer any questions you may have.
Don’t forget too that if you drop by our stand you can pick up a free copy of the Principal Insurance calendar which features much magnificent metal in a glorious technicolour! Click here for a taster.
Tickets are available on the door at only €10 for an adult, accompanied children are free and seniors tickets are €8. The show takes place on February 25th, with gates opening at 10am and closing at 5pm.
