The Indian Roadmaster claims to be one of the world’s ultra premium touring machines.
The bike features a wonderful custom-inspired two-tone candy paint. This alone requires nearly 30 hours and hand finishing to complete. It’s even embellished with real 24K gold leaf badging on the tank and lowers!
There are features such as three Ride Modes for customised performance, plus Rear Cylinder Deactivation and redesigned lowers for an even more comfortable ride.
The Roadmaster Elite receives an upgraded 600-watt PowerBand Audio Plus system. The system delivers exceptional sound and clarity from high-output fairing, top box, and saddlebag speaker system.
It also comes as standard with full LED lighting, a genuine leather two-up touring seat – individually heated for rider and passenger – ABS, heated grips, keyless ignition, a push button power windshield, weatherproof, remote-locking saddlebags, a spacious top box that fits two full face helmets and a combined 140 litres of storage space.
On top of the standard stuff are unique leather passenger armrests, billet aluminium rider and passenger floorboards, a premium touring console, billet aluminium pinnacle mirrors and chrome bumpers.
There are, of course, upgrades available such as a mid-rise handlebar, a new colour-matched open fender and a 19-inch front wheel for riders who prefer a more aggressive look.
The Thunder Stroke 111 engine, which produces 151 Nm of torque at 3000 RPM, powers the Roadmaster Elite.
This features the latest ride-enhancing technologies. When the temperature exceeds 15⁰ C, the rear cylinder will automatically deactivate once the bike is at a standstill. This results in less engine heat and improved rider comfort in slow-moving or stopped traffic. The rear cylinder instantly reactivates when throttle is applied. The bike also features redesigned lowers that provide optimal airflow for even more rider comfort.
The 2019 Indian Roadmaster Elite is available from Franklin Motorcycles in Swords. There is also a used 2018 model with a full exhaust system and a little less than 10,000 kilometres on the clock for €33,990. Call any of the team on 015385005 for a test ride.
